Administrator - Volunteering

St Paul's Cathedral are currently seeking a Volunteering Administrator, to join their volunteering team in one of the most iconic buildings in the world.

The post holder will join a very small central support team which aims to champion best practice in volunteering across the Cathedral. This key role is responsible for the accurate and efficient administration of volunteer records and working directly with key stakeholders across the Cathedral, supporting the implementation of volunteering strategies, systems, structures, training, policies and procedures.

You will be expected to develop an understanding of the different structures with those teams and provide consistent and proactive support to Staff Leads, Volunteer Team Leads and Deputies under the umbrella of Cathedral-wide volunteer policies and procedures.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Record keeping and data entry for volunteer records, with due regard to confidentiality.
  • Look after the day-to-day management of the Cathedral's volunteer management system (Assemble).
  • Ensure relevant data/information is collated and produce reports as required.
  • Maintenance of records, decisions, agreed actions and working with others to ensure that actions are followed up and reported.
  • Assistance with induction and training of new volunteers and proactively informing staff. leads of their teams' performance.
  • Diary management and booking of meetings associated with delivering volunteer. engagement activities, such as All Volunteer Meetings, reciprocal visits etc.
  • Dealing with public enquiries with regards to volunteering at the Cathedral.
  • Work with key stakeholders across the Cathedral.
  • Be an internal point of contact for queries for Assemble and training.

We are looking for you to have:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in an administration and data entry role.
  • Ability to build strong and effective working relationships with a diverse range of people internally and externally.
  • Good IT skills, including proven experience and confident in using cloud-based volunteer management, CRM or database systems.
  • Good inter-personal skills, with the ability to liaise with confidence across a range of people, internally and externally.
  • Effective and clear communication skills both written and verbal.
