Business Manager

Jobstore are currently seeking a Business Manager for our clients busy retail resellers based in Bury.

As a Business Manager your role will be to deliver exceptional customer experience and to deliver maximised profitability. Working within a controlled sales and finance process you will work closely with our sales teams to maximise the opportunities for the business, be responsible for selling a range of vehicle add-on products as well as finance and asset protection products, and assisting sales executives in closing deals effectively. You will also assist sales campaigns that maximise finance penetration and generate enthusiasm with other team members.

You will have the ability to build effective relationships very quickly with both Colleagues and Customers and will be extremely well organised and demonstrate an excellent understanding of FCA regulations relating to Insurance sales. Your ability to build rapport quickly will enable you to successfully establish our customer's particular needs to make recommendations to them to provide sufficient cover.

To provide the best possible standard of service to customers and work colleagues when processing new business applications and pay-outs in compliance with procedures, working to deadlines and achieving company standards always. Working as part of a small team with lots of progression opportunities. You must be available to work regular weekends. As a Business Manager with us, you will be instrumental in driving Finance and Insurance opportunities while focusing on achieving outstanding customer relationships, with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets monthly, along with:

  • Undertaking the input and pay out of new business applications using various computerised systems, through monitoring of all work queues
  • Ensuring deals are dealt with promptly and in time order priority
  • Undertaking all necessary procedural checks for new business, e.g, verifying vehicle details, ensuring all information and documentation required is present and correct, in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Undertaking all necessary administration which accompanies new business proposals and pay out, referring queries and issues to line management as necessary
  • Undertaking all necessary checks and verification of signed documentation, ensuring ID provided is acceptable and all signatures match, plus any other checks as applicable before initiating payment to the Dealer
  • Assisting, Sales Team, customers, and other third parties with general queries (e.g. settlement figures, vehicle and financial amendments), undertaking instructions received as appropriate, in an accurate and timely manner
  • Resolving any queries to a satisfactory conclusion or passing them to the relevant department
  • Ensure accurate and prompt payment of all finance deals.
  • Liaising with the Finance Department in dealing with settling other finance companies' financial interest and dealing with contra settlement.
  • Maintain good knowledge and understanding of all policies and procedures relevant to the role, and being compliant with these policies and procedures at all times.
  • Maintain all systems-based records in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by line management.

What we are looking for:

You may already be working in the Automotive Industry as a Business Manager or be working in the Financial or Retail environment with transferable skills to bring to our business. The role would suit a solid all-rounder who has team management experience, and transaction experience, but also someone who wants a new challenge and to join a business at an exciting time of change and growth. The successful candidate must be familiar with working to FCA/FSA service standards, experience of working closely with sales teams and the customer, and be able to demonstrate strong F&I knowledge. Please note that whilst applications from individuals from within the automotive industry would be advantageous, it is not essential.

Working hours for this position will include weekends, and this will be discussed at interview.

This role will be subject to satisfactory references, pre-employment checks, and the successful candidate(s) may be required to undergo a basic disclosure (DBS).
