Production Supervisor - Mechanical

A well-established Peterborough business is looking to recruit a Production Supervisor to oversee a small team, whilst adopting a hands on approach and leading from the front.

As Production Supervisor you will oversee the assembly, production and packing of a small group of components. You will work closely with the Planning team to agree production plans, ensuring compliance and quality standards are adhered to at all times.

You will manage, lead and motivate a team of 5. Maintaining development and training in line with business requirements.

This is a varied supervisory role that would be really well suited to a strong people leader who is happy to lead by example. You must be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and internal teams, ensuring business demands are met and SLA's are achieved.

The Job - Production Supervisor:

  • Manage a small team to deliver the assembly, production and packing of a key component. Ensuring the efficient supply of components to the warehouse, in line with agreed production levels and delivery targets.
  • Maintain and uphold quality/compliance standards.
  • Team management. Development and training. 1-2-1's. Overseeing performance and encouraging a positive and collaborative team environment.
  • Work closely alongside the Planning team to agree and meet production plans.
  • Responsible for manufacturing output.
  • Work closely with other internal teams to ensure business demands are met and achieved.

The Individual - Production Supervisor:

  • Previous proven leadership in a multi-faceted production environment.
  • Experience or knowledge of mechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Previously worked towards and achieved business SLA's.
  • Adept at problem solving.
  • A technical mind and the ability to work with your hands.
  • An excellent team player, strong communicator and happy to lead by example.
