In this role as a Junior Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks and supporting our financial team. Based in Northampton, the Junior Accountant would suit somebody who is looking to really solidify and grow their career in finance and accounts.

You need to have experience in accruals, prepayments, P&L and month end, everything else can be learned.

Description

  • Providing financial and administrative support to the Ops teams to ensure service levels are maintained as well as cost effectiveness.
  • Dealing with month end, prepayments and accruals are a large part of the Junior Accountant's day-to-day work.
  • The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail.
  • Ensure billing is invoiced correctly
  • Working well with other areas of the business and building great relationships internally as well as externally
  • Build fantastic relationships and trust with customers within your account

Profile

A successful Junior Accountant should have:

  • Focus and drive to excel their career in accounting and finance
  • Show your personality! You will be joining a fun and motivated team
  • Experience with month end and profit and loss
  • Experience with accruals and prepayments.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to manage large amounts of data.
  • Excellent communication skills - Be confident, likeable and get on well with clients
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
  • Part qual in AAT
  • Be strong with the use of Excel
