Salary: £25,000 per annum

About the Role:

As the first point of contact for all the waste group's customers and business partners, you will have excellent communication skills, enjoy speaking to people and helping efficiently direct all incoming calls to the business. Working as part of the general office and reception team you will be flexible and adaptable picking up administration support tasks along with managing calls.

Responsibilities:

  • In a friendly and positive way effectively answer all incoming phone calls to the site and direct them to appropriate departments or, if able, answer direct customer questions to a high standard
  • Take messages if needed and direct them through the company's email or IM systems to the correct person
  • Work with the IT and HR teams to ensure internal directors are always accurate and up to date
  • Work as part of the general office team in all aspects of administration and support including covering reception and meeting room support requirements
  • Report any issues with phone direction, line numbers or issues immediately to ensure customer service is always maintained to the highest standard

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to be patient and deal with a high volume of customers
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Enjoy helping people and problem solving
  • Good knowledge of all Microsoft systems
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Experience of administration and phone answering
  • Educated to GCSE Level with English and maths as a minimum

Desirable:

  • Administration qualification or equivalent work experience
  • Experience of first line customer call answering
