My client is an established specialist in the design, manufacture and installation of power distribution solutions. Due to ongoing success, they are looking for a skilled Panel Wirer to build panels according to customer specifications. The successful candidate will have experience wiring control panels and have electrical qualifications. You must also be based within commutable distance of Leicester.
Panel Wirer Position Overview
- Building and wiring switch panels
- Working to deadlines as agreed with the customer
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Checking stock is available for the required build
- Building the frame mounting of boxes and fitting of switches
- Carrying out metering
- This is mostly a workshop-based role, however there is some site installation and modification work required. A vehicle is provided for this.
Panel Wirer Position Requirements
- Electrical qualifications
- 18th Edition beneficial
- At least 1 year's panel building experience
- Able to use a variety of workshop machinery
- Able to read and work from engineering drawings
- Based within commutable distance of Leicester
Panel Wirer Position Remuneration
- Salary £25,000 - £30,000 + bonus
- Hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30
- Permanent full-time

- Holiday 20 days plus bank holiday. Increasing with length of service
- Annual appraisal
