A well known and loved British Institution and global conservation charity is seeking a Financial Accountant in a well-paid, newly-created role, paying up to £62,000 per annum. This is an excellent opportunity to work for a brilliant organisation and make your own mark on a new position, whole working with some great colleagues in a friendly and high-performing team. The position is hybrid, with a couple of days each week ideally worked from the central-London offices.
As the Financial Accountant your role will involve:
- Leading on financial accounting duties across the organisation including month-end reporting and reconciliations
- Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Producing charity VAT returns
- Leading on year-end statutory account preparation
- Liaising with the auditors throughout the annual external audit
The ideal Financial Accountant will:
- Be a qualified accountant
- Have experience producing VAT returns and performing month-end reconciliations
- Be seeking a secure, long-term position
- Have a keen interest in conservation
