We are pleased to be working with a successful manufacturing company in Telford for a new permanent Transport Administrator job. Your new role
This is a key role in the business, supporting the transport and logistics team with key duties of:
- Collating driver's paperwork.
- Printing, matching and scanning of delivery notes.
- Creation, printing and authorising of third-party labels.
- Liaising with couriers / 3rd party hauliers.
- Contacting customers to advise on where delays in delivery may occur.
- Data input into spreadsheets.
- Preparing drivers daily run sheets (through issuing of load lists and delivery notes)
- Support of drivers daily, including monitoring of hours worked and deliveries made.
- Issuing of collection notes when drivers are in relevant areas or submission to couriers if applicable.
- Liaising with despatch regarding available products and load statuses.
The role is full-time Monday to Friday in their Telford office.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven recent experience in administration and strong data entry skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with drivers, management and customers.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Flexibility to be able to support business priorities.
- Confidence working with time pressures and changing deadlines is key.
- Good geographical knowledge.
