Hours: 40 hours

The Role:

As our Distribution Innovation Lead, you will play a pivotal role in developing the operational requirements that support our systems transformation. This is not your typical role; you'll be at the heart of listening to our stakeholders, colleagues, and management teams to develop the necessary Supply Chain and Distribution Systems in partnership with our tech functions. This role will shape our operating process and provide innovative thinking that drives our business forward.

About the role:

  • Solution Design: Performing fit-gap analysis, business case preparation, functionality, and process reviews. Support the design of H&B's operating model, covering the end-to-end distribution process, including order fulfilment, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation
  • Business-Tech Liaison: act as the senior point of contact between business stakeholders and the tech team, translating business needs into technical requirements
  • Technology Adoption: Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge distribution technologies to enhance efficiency and visibility across the distribution network. Explore continuous improvement opportunities for automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, and data analytics
  • Complex Continuous Improvement: Implement best practices, lean principles, and process improvements to achieve operational excellence and optimise resource allocation. By collaborating with business units to identify areas for improvement through system changes and process enhancements. Undertake complex change designs and collaborate with tech teams to design and implement changes to the WMS / WCS platforms
  • Systems Optimisation: advise business users on best practices for utilising the WMS / WCS effectively

The Person:

  • Logistic Systems Expertise: In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with the design, implementation and usage of WMS / WCS solutions
  • Warehouse Management: Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics processes
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to develop solutions that meet current and future demands
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
