Job Title: Warehouse Team Leader

Location: Coventry

Salary: £26,000 to £27,000 per annum DOE

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5.30pm (37.5 hours per week)

Contract Type: Permanent

Empowered Personnel is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader on behalf of our client, a rapidly growing company in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. This is a fantastic opportunity to oversee warehouse operations, manage a small team, and ensure efficient despatch processes in a company poised for significant expansion due to new major retail contracts.

Job Summary: As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will be a crucial link between the office and warehouse, ensuring all despatches are accurate and timely. You will manage and support a small team of warehouse operatives, with the potential for headcount growth as the business expands. Additionally, you will liaise with various internal departments to meet customer requirements effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a small team of Warehouse Operatives.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of despatch orders.
  • Promptly communicate any issues to the warehouse team and management.
  • Coordinate with customers to schedule deliveries that meet their needs.
  • Arrange transport and ensure all necessary documentation for shipments is in order.
  • Conduct regular stock checks and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Build strong customer relationships through effective communication via telephone and emails.
  • Work closely with the warehouse and sales teams to optimise delivery processes.
  • Assist with day-to-day warehouse operations.
  • Generate e-commerce and large retail orders using Sage, maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Ensure warehouse organisation and standards align with company guidelines and Health & Safety protocols.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Team Leader or extensive team leadership experience is essential.
  • A can-do attitude and enthusiasm for driving team success.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
