Commercial Support Associate - Commercial, Sales & Project Support
Location: London
Basic Salary £45,000 - £50,000 + attractive bonus
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Commercial Support Associate to join an engaging, inclusive and collaborative growing team.
This role is key to driving business growth by supporting the sales and marketing efforts, projects, client relationships and helping expand reach in target markets. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in search, head-hunting, executive search, recruitment, or similar business, ensuring they can navigate the nuances of the industry effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Pipeline Management: Ensure the sales pipeline is regularly updated and aligned with business goals, supporting the team in meeting growth targets.
- Sales Analysis & Reporting: Analyze sales performance data, track key metrics, and prepare insightful reports to support informed decision-making.
- Target List & Opportunity Identification: Create and manage target lists, identifying key clients and sectors for future business development opportunities.
- Client Retention & Expansion: Work with the Partners to put together engagement plan with existing clients to build strong, lasting relationships, identifying opportunities for expanding services and supporting clients in new areas
- Sales Campaigns & Marketing Outreach: Work with the team to design and implement marketing outreach efforts and sales campaigns, ensuring we attract and retain new business.
- HubSpot & CRM Administration: Maintain accurate records of client interactions, leads, and opportunities within HubSpot, supporting the team with data management.
- Market Intelligence: Gather and analyze intelligence on industry trends, competitor activity, and key movements in the professional services, management consulting, and related sectors to stay ahead of the curve.
- General Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to senior team members, helping with scheduling, data entry, and client meeting coordination.
- Collaboration & Idea Generation: Partner with the senior leadership team to generate ideas that contribute to the overall growth strategy and ensure we're identifying the right opportunities in the market.
- Opportunity Tracking & Industry Insights: Stay connected to industry developments, identifying trends and movements within the market that may represent new opportunities for Burwood Partners to explore.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams to share insights, support business initiatives, and help coordinate marketing and sales efforts.
- Client Interaction (Indirect to Start): Initially, client interaction will be through the partners and senior team. However, as the role evolves and the individual grows within the business, there will be opportunities to engage more directly with clients over time.
- Event & Campaign Coordination: Assist in planning and executing campaigns and events that enhance presence in the market.
- Project co-ordination: Provide support with projects and work with the Partners to ensure smooth delivery
Required Skills & Experience:
- Industry Experience: prior experience in search, head-hunting, executive search, recruitment, or a similar business.
- Sales & Marketing Insight: 2-3 years of experience in sales support, business development, or a commercial role in a professional services environment.
- Technology Proficiency: Experience using CRM tools (preferably HubSpot) and Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting.
- Market Knowledge: A good understanding of the professional services and management consulting sectors, with an interest in executive recruitment trends.
- Organizational & Analytical Skills: A detail-oriented approach, with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Collaborative Communication: Strong communication skills, with a commitment to teamwork and the ability to engage with diverse teams across the business.
