Job Title: Azure Data Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid - 1 Day a Week in the Office)
A new opportunity has arisen for a Azure Data Engineer within a global company, with offices across America, Europe and the UK. As the business see continued success, they're looking to expand the team.
This role offers the flexibility of hybrid working, with only one to two days a week required in our London office. As an Azure Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our data infrastructure on the Azure platform.
Skills Needed
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on Azure.
- Deep understanding of Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, PowerShell, and Python.
- Strong experience with data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with Azure DevOps/GIT for source control and managing code repositories
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data architectures on Azure on the Azure platform in collaboration with the data architecture team.
- Develop and implement ETL processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, or other relevant tools.
- Develop, construct, test, and maintain data pipelines.
- Optimise queries, dataflows and data models for performance and efficiency.
- Ensure data quality and implement appropriate data governance practices.
- Design and implement analytical solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, or similar tools.
- Optimize queries, dataflows and data models for performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and support ongoing development efforts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Microsoft Azure certifications.
- Experience with machine learning and AI integration.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
