Marketing Director Risk and Broking FTC - Up to 12 Months

Working closely with the Global Risk & Broking Marketing Leader and Senior Business Leaders, this role will be responsible for the development and implementation of the marketing strategy as well as supporting programmes and tactics for Direct and Facultative Global Lines of Business.

The role holder will be a primary contact point for Direct and Facultative marketing (at a global and regional level) and will therefore need to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders and develop a good understanding of the business.

The role will also provide marketing leadership including people management for Direct and Facultative marketing team. This will involve providing advice and guidance to the team on the development of marketing strategy and plans to support the growth of these areas of the business.

The Role

  • Work with marketing team and key stakeholders to develop marketing plans that support business and revenue growth priorities
  • Oversee global marketing planning and budgeting for Direct and Facultative.
  • Provide informed advice and guidance to the marketing team and key stakeholders on the most appropriate marketing and communication programmes as well as advising on broader areas like research, competitor analysis, digital marketing, event marketing, thought-leadership and investment in 3rd party initiatives
  • Identify opportunities to leverage marketing activities globally working with regional marketing leads and business leaders to agree how best to develop and implement these
  • Working with marketing team to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activities by analyzing the outcomes using relevant marketing data and analytics; make recommendations
  • Oversee and advise on the development of marketing campaigns that support the execution of the agreed marketing strategy and identify / agree appropriate KPIs with business stakeholders.
  • Awareness of the competitive environment of the insurance industry and an understanding of how marketing strategy and plans are positioned within this to help differentiate our product offering.
  • Identify linkages and opportunities to develop cross LOB and Segment marketing programmes that will support pipeline and revenue growth
  • Develop good working relationships and foster collaboration with colleagues from across the marketing and communications function, including CoE's (Communications, PR, Digital, Events and Research/Analytics) to coordinate effectively and support the delivery of marketing programmes and activities.
  • Manage development of the marketing budgets and manage costs to ensure planned expenditure is met including reporting and analysis of marketing effectiveness and impact
  • Effective management of direct reports, ensure high performance of team, develop skills

The Requirements

  • Strong marketing experience within insurance / professional services
  • Proven experience in digital marketing and marketing communications across a broad spectrum of offline and online media
  • Significant experience working across multiple geographies and/or globally
  • Ability to forge relationships and credibility with senior business leaders
  • Proven team management experience
  • Self-motivated and organised with ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced project management, organisational and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • A completer finisher mind-set with the drive to deliver projects in a timely manner regardless of any obstacles and challenges
  • Team player who is flexible and adaptable across a range of tasks
  • A good eye for detail and ability to think logically through projects as well as issues that present themselves.
  • Ability to engage, communicate and lead calls/meetings effectively with senior business leaders, drawing on strong marketing and business acumen.
  • Solid research, writing, analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Change and adaptability/ability to work through ambiguity
