Salary - £17.54 per hour PAYE // £21.71 per hour Ltd Umbrella

My client, a North London Local Authority, are seeking an experienced Benefit Assessor to join their team, focusing on new claims. This role is ideal for someone with a comprehensive understanding of benefit legislation and experience in various types of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support claims.
Day to Day of the role:
- Assess all types of Housing Benefit claims, including Supported, Temporary accommodation, self-employed, PFAs, and Council Tax Support claims.
- Ensure a thorough understanding and application of benefit legislation.
- Utilise Civica Open Revenues and D360 for claim processing.
- Work within tight deadlines and targets while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
- Adapt to a hybrid working environment, balancing office presence with the flexibility of working from home.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in benefit assessment.
- Proficiency in using Civica Open Revenues and D360, or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of benefit legislation.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and meet targets.
- Excellent customer service skills and a customer-focused approach.
