Long Haul Travel Specialist homebased
A fantastic opportunity to join this successful, award-winning, tour operator based in the North West as a Long Haul Travel Specialist with a focus on India. You will be using your specialist long haul travel knowledge of India to create truly bespoke, extraordinary experiences to India . You will be an experienced Travel Consultant, with the expertise to create detailed long haul tailor-made itineraries to India. This role can be fully homebased but training will be required at the companies head office. The salary package is £25k to £29k with monthly commission and will be working Mon-Sat 9am-5.30pm with Saturdays on a rota along with the opportunity to travel on the most fabulous fam trips!
Long Haul Travel Specialist homebased - Role & Responsibilities:
- Respond in an efficient and timely manner to calls and emails from trade partners and direct customers
- Liaise with suppliers to obtain rates & source product for bespoke tailor-made enquiries.
- Be pro-active in using your specialist long haul knowledge in India to support conversion of enquiries into sales.
- Manage the end to end sales & customer service journey, ensuring customers are notified of any operational changes affecting their holiday.
- Handle any issues arising in an efficient customer focused way, ensuring a satisfactory outcome.
- Provide an exceptional service to all customers via all channels.
- Support product team with input and feedback on product knowledge, pricing information and competitor analysis.
Long Haul Travel Specialist homebased - Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven expertise in a travel tailor-made sales role, with a background in tour operations.
- Strong knowledge of India is essential through own travelling and / or of putting together bespoke itineraries.
- Experience of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Good knowledge of supplier contracts and costing itineraries.
- Working knowledge of a travel GDS - Amadeus or Galileo
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Flexible approach, with a pro-active creative approach to problem solving
Long Haul Travel Specialist - Additional Information:
- Basic salary of £25k to £29k plus monthly commission
- 9 to 5.30 Monday to Saturdays , Saturdays on rota
