Are you passionate about making a difference in a child's educational journey? Horizon Teachers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to work with a Year 2 student with behavioural needs at a primary school in Lewisham.

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to a Year 2 child with behavioural challenges. Your patience, creativity, and commitment will be vital in helping the student engage with the curriculum, develop positive behaviour, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support for a Year 2 child with behavioural issues.

Implement and contribute to the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP).

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials.

Foster a positive, nurturing, and safe environment for the child.

Monitor and report on the student's progress and behavioural improvements.

Use positive reinforcement and behaviour management strategies effectively.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience working with children with behavioural needs, ideally within a primary school setting.

A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

An understanding of the specific challenges and strategies associated with behavioural issues.
