Private Client Solicitor - Locum
- Location: Lewes, East Sussex
- Job Type: Locum (2-4 weeks minimum assignment, likely to be extended / Hybrid)
- Salary: Circa £75,000 (Pro Rata)
We are seeking a Private Client Solicitor with a passion for delivering exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will join our esteemed law firm, renowned for its professional, modern, and client-centred approach. This role is based in our Lewes office and offers a unique opportunity to work within a top-ranked Private Client team, providing legal services to UK and international private individuals, including high net worth clients and entrepreneurs.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct estate planning, including the preparation of Wills and advice on lifetime giving.
- Manage probate and estate administration, including advising on Deeds of Variation.
- Prepare Lasting Powers of Attorney.
- Provide advice on the creation, administration, and termination of trusts.
- Play a key role within the team and contribute to career development opportunities within the wider firm.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified solicitor with over 5 years' PQE.
- STEP qualification is essential.
- Experience or knowledge of the taxation of trusts is ideal.
- Organised, adaptable, and accurate with excellent attention to detail.
- Professional with a client-focused approach and excellent communication skills.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to handle change.
- Experience in managing or supervising junior team members is advantageous.
