English Teacher - Full-Time

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Start Date: ASAP, from 17th October

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join our supportive school community in Wakefield.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that inspire and motivate students.
  • Foster a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate and excel.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and participate in school-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievements and attend parents' evenings and school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in teaching English at secondary school level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Ability to differentiate teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and sharing best practices with colleagues.
  • Have a strong command of English language and literature
  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), and demonstrate excellent teaching skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one) is essential.
