Maintenance Electrician

A great in-house opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician with a great benefits package with an attractive amount of annual leave. The role will consist of PPM and reactive maintenance on a commercial property as part of a maintenance team, working 8am - 4pm, Monday to Friday. Unique from the generic building service maintenance roles, this role is perfect for engineers who are looking for a role outside of London saving on both travel time and costs.

This role will primarily consist of working on electrical systems on site, whilst also covering other building service maintenance tasks that may occur. The successful candidate will have the correct qualifications, (City and Guilds / NVQ) at least 3 years experience prior in building service maintenance, a great attitude and to be self-motivated.

Duties of the Maintenance Electrician:

  • Undertake proactive, predictive, planned and reactive maintenance
  • Installing, maintaining, modifying and repairing all electrical systems
  • To deputise for the Senior Electrician in times of absence.
  • Completing work orders & PPM's, including recording materials that are used to complete each task.
  • Have the physical ability to undertake manual work, at ground level and at height.
  • Assist with the monthly stock take.
  • Undertake Weekly Plant room inspections.
  • Supervise & train the electrical apprentice in the installation and repair of electrical systems when needed.Organise subcontractors
  • Reports, RAMS, HSE and other relevant documentations to be updated regularly

Requirements of the Maintenance Electrician:

  • City and Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent) qualifications in Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to fault find, diagnose and repair Electrical associated systems
  • Client facing
  • Polite and self motivated
  • Respond to call outs

Salary and Benefits of the Maintenance Electrician:

  • £36,000 - £38,000 per annum
  • 8am - 4pm, Monday - Friday
