Long - Term teachers are looking for a 1:1 Tutor, who can plan and deliver English and Maths lessons for students aiming for GCSE. These would be 2-hour sessions - on a Tuesday and on a Wednesday. The headteacher is looking for preferably a qualified teacher, with knowledge of GCSE Maths and English; however we would accept unqualified applicants with strong teaching experience.
The school is a pupil referral unit, for students aged 5 to 16, they work with students with Social, Emotional, Mental, Health needs. The classroom sizes are smaller, to meet the needs of the students. They will coax students through a nurturing approach, to ensure they can progress and enjoy learning.
The hours of work are flexible, however the preference would be in the afternoon. This would be an ASAP start, until July 2025. This will be based off school site, in a venue around Taunton, which is still to be finalised.
