About the role

The purpose of the Peer Lead role is to use your lived experience of mental health issues to assist in the development of opportunities for the service and the people it supports across Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.

Duties will include:

- Providing line management and supervision of peer supporters working on the Crisis Line and Community Crisis Team; and promoting continuous development.
- To further develop and maintain good working relationships with service users and carers, professionals and relevant external agencies.
- To co-produce and co-deliver the development of innovative initiatives for people accessing the service.
- To lead and promote a peer led culture that will enable people with lived experience of mental health.

About you

To be a Peer Lead at Certitude, the following are essential:

- Lived experience of mental health crisis/Experience as a carer of supporting someone with mental health issues.
- Experience of engaging and supporting people in crisis and experiencing mental health distress with empathy and respect.
- Knowledge of approaches to helping people cope with social isolation versus social connection and community engagement.
- Ability to facilitate, motivate and coach groups and team learning sessions.
