Job Ad: Nursery Assistant - West Leeds

Reed Education is working closely with a nursery based in West Leeds and is actively recruiting Nursery Assistants to work on a short-term basis. Within this position, you will be responsible for providing care and education for young children in a safe and stimulating environment. We are working alongside the nursery to source candidates that want to make a positive impact on the lives and learning journey of the children. You should be able to build strong working relationships quickly, with staff and parents alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing the classroom for each session
- Planning and implementing activities that support the children's physical, emotional, and intellectual development
- Helping children with daily activities such as dressing and eating
- Creating a safe and stimulating environment for the children
- Observing and documenting children's progress
The ideal candidate will:
- Be patient and able to build strong working relationships with children
- Be able to work in a team and be flexible
- Be approachable, kind, and caring towards all children and have a thorough understanding of safeguarding in a nursery setting
- Have experience working with young children
- Have good communication skills

Requirements:
- Candidate would be required to have an Enhanced DBS
