AIRCRAFT MECHANICAL FITTER - £18.30 PER HOUR PAYE - SHAWBURY - 12 MONTHS (EXTENDABLE) - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW ONSITE
MERITUS are recruiting for Aircraft Mechanical Fitters to join our client in Shawbury on an initial 12 month contract to work on exciting aerospace programmes.
You will join the team who are responsible assisting in the movement, Line and Base Maintenance of the Aircraft fleet.
Standard 40 hours per week (working 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday)
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
- Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
- Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
- Completion of maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions.
- Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component and composite technical work in workshops as required.
- Also required to assist in day to day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.
Skillset/experience required:
- Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline.
- Must have thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems.
- Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to engine and airframe systems.
Must have up to date knowledge of:
- Flight/Airport Operations
- Aircraft Line Maintenance
- Aircraft Base Maintenance.
- Experience of Flight Operations and Line Maintenance.
Desirable
- Type Rating and experience H135, H145.
- Experience of Military Aviation.
- Experience with SAP and ERP software.
- Knowledge of CAA Part 145 and Part M regulations.
