Maintenance Technician - Moulding Tools Repair
Randstad are recruiting for a Mould Repair Technician to come and work for an industry leader in medical technology at their Plymouth site on Belliver Industrial Estate (PL6 7BP).
This is a permanent role paying £34,200 per annum on a 3 days on, 3 days off shift pattern. The working hours are 7am to 7pm each day.
The Role
As a Mould Repair Technician, you will form part of the team responsible for the manufacture, repair and customisation of parts. Collaborating with the Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide toolroom based support for the repair of Mould tools and equipment, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
Responsibilites include but are not limited to -
- Use time and in-house facilities efficiently to repair and maintain injection moulding tools.
- Provide engineering support for production activities.
- Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures and safe working practices.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the toolroom and other work areas.
- Align with Safety Lockout and work warning systems.
- Keep records of spare parts to ensure they are restocked and cost-effective.
The ideal candidate will -
- Have completed an apprenticeship or equivalent in maintenance engineering.
- Be a resourceful problem solver with good knowledge of electrical and mechanical aspects, adept at repairing and modifying parts to optimise functionality.
- Experience in hot runner injection molding is beneficial
- Be confident using Microsoft Office programs and other IT systems
- Have strong communication skills and collaborative mentality.
