Financial Controller - Manufacturing

My client is a dynamic investor backed Manufacturing business ideally situated in Wolverhampton it 5 sites based across the UK and Europe.

Due to continued expansion (currently £40m T/O), FRS have been enlisted to assist with the recruitment of a qualified accountant to join the business as Financial Controller

This recruitment is being completed at an exciting point in time for the business at offers the successful candidate excellent opportunity for growth and expansion.

This position will work alongside the current finance team and play an integral role in supporting the Board of Directors.

  • Creating & developing a Finance department (month & year end, FP&A, Business Partnering, AR & AP).
  • Day to Day Management of a small finance and admin team ensuring that all targets and objectives - Recruit / Lead/ Mentor
  • 3-5 Year Financial Planning, budgeting and forecasting
  • Business Partnering with operations / Challenging business and commercial operations
  • Oversee and review monthly management accounts and month-end reporting
  • Provision of insightful weekly/monthly MI
  • Creating a high value reporting whilst driving continuous process improvements
  • Monthly board presentation of the management accounts to Board with analysis, plus payroll review and sign off.
  • Drive a key focus on program profitability, materials, cost management, stock and working capital
  • Ensure tax and VAT accounting accurate and fully compliant with legislation

The ideal candidate will be formally qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) an ideally have at least 3-5 years PQE ideally to include previous experience gained within a Manufacturing or Engineering biased business.

  • Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts the production, manufacture and customer order fulfilment.
  • Able to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations.

A basic salary of between £60,000 to £70,000 + excellent benefits include Private Medical await and bonus await.
