Interim Finance Assistant | VC Backed Tech Scale-Up | 6 Month Contract
Harmonic are delighted to be working exclusively with an exciting Tech Scale-Up backed by top Venture Capital Firms to find them a Finance Assistant to support their ever-growing finance function during a busy period.
They're looking to bring someone in for 6 months, with the potential to extend further beyond or transfer to permanent. We are open to seeing candidates on 5 days or who would consider Part-Time (3 or 4 days per week).
The Role
In this position you will support the Financial Controller and Finance Manager with the day-to-day running of the finance function. The perfect candidate will be versatile and hands on, taking on responsibilities such as AP & AR, Bank reconciliations, inbox management and Finance Administration.
There's a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting business and potentially transfer to permanent employment following the interim period.
Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of accounts payable, managing the process from invoice handling, approval and preparing of payment runs.
- Managing accounts receivable, including working closely with the sales team to manage Sales Order Form details, credit control, invoice creation, and issuing credit notes.
- Prepare monthly VAT reports
- Accountable for timely and accurate journal posting to ensure up-to-date financial records, aiding in the preparation of financial statements.
- Perform multi-currency bank reconciliations
- Assist the Financial Controller with various ad-hoc tasks as needed.
- Support with a variety of month-end processes.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience working hands on in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Actively pursuing a professional qualification or qualified by experience
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Bonus Experience
- Experience with royalties or publishing business.
- Previous experience using Xero.
Location: Central London
Start Date: ASAP
Day Rate: £150- £175 per day (Inside IR35)
