We are recruiting for a Payroll Officer position, where you will play a crucial role in managing the payroll function for a Construction business who pride themselves on maintaining a welcoming and supportive work environment, and are looking for someone who is experienced, reliable, and ready to take charge of their payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process the company's payroll using Sage Payroll software.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including salaries, overtime, timesheets and contractor payments.
- Handle payroll queries and resolve any issues promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to management.
- Liaise with HR and Finance departments to ensure payroll accuracy and integration.
- Stay updated with changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Payroll Officer, preferably in a sole charge role.
- Proficiency in Sage Payroll software.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles and statutory requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, team-oriented attitude.
- Experience in a medium-sized business environment is preferred.
