About the role

An exciting permanent vacancy is now available in our Burton Service Centre.

The Level 5 Manager will be instrumental in helping the organisation to achieve its transformational goals. Responsible for embedding an agile culture, methodology, tools and techniques in order to help teams keep a delivery and learning cadence that helps to remain focused on delivering value against the organisational outcomes, while remaining creative and dynamic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop & motivate a team who are focused on maximising shelf availability & delivering the highest service level possible to customers effective & accurate receiving, picking & despatching of stock
  • Manage performance of staff, KPI's and budgets to achieve the throughputs in their particular functional area
  • Make short-term decisions in the operation to overcome anything that may impact on service to stores or availability of products
  • To drive the Health & Safety & Shrink agenda with own team & operating area
  • To ensure that a positive culture is created through communication, recognition & support also responsible for ensuring that the partnership process is supported & visible to the team

What you'll need to have

  • You must be a permanent Level 6 with recent Level 5 operations experience in Burton
  • Experience of managing & motivating an operational team including planning & organising
  • Exposure to controlling costs & managing budgets
  • You will need experience in working & knowledge of Supply Chain, warehouse processes & flows
  • Effective cross functional working & strong communication skills at all levels are essential to this role
