We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Tutor to deliver high-quality teaching for levels 1-3 at a reputable college in South West London. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual with a strong knowledge of engineering and a passion for education.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and informative lessons to students studying levels 1-3 in Electrical Engineering.
- Prepare lesson plans and materials, ensuring alignment with curriculum standards.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and enhance student understanding.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Stay current with new technologies and teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.
- Participate in departmental and college meetings, contributing to the development of the curriculum and academic quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree level education or a high academic qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related subject.
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience delivering training at Level 3 in an Engineering environment or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of engineering relevant to the curriculum offer.
- High personal standards and expectations with excellent planning, preparation, organisational, and administrative skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet agreed deadlines.
- Awareness of academic quality standards.
- Receptive to new ideas and initiatives with a creative approach to problem-solving.
