GSA is part of Group Chief Operation Office (COO) which acts as the bridge between the Bank's businesses and infrastructure functions to help deliver the efficiency, control, and transformation goals of the Bank.

You will be joining a team of developers within the Platform Strats team of the Strats Group, working on a business-critical application built in C++, Python and Scala. The team are responsibility for all aspects of the technical solution and delivery of business features. Our application serves multiple business areas within the Bank, capturing trades for pricing and risk. You will work in partnership with Desk and Core Strats to create value and solve complex challenges.

Your key responsibilities

  • Performing analysis, design and development of functionality in Kannon using primarily C++ and Python
  • Working closely with Trading and Strats to understand requirements and deliver robust, reliable and performant solutions
  • Tracking delivery of your changes all the way to Production use
  • Supporting the business through a support rota including investigating queries and issues

Your skills and experience

  • Collaborative and enthusiastic to contribute ideas on team development practices
  • Experienced primarily in C++ and Python development but also Scala, MariaDB and SQLite
  • Experience in automated testing
  • Contributing to technical/architectural direction and choice of technologies
  • Involvement in release planning, testing strategies, and third line support
