Behaviour SEN Support Assistant - Greenwich
Location: Greenwich, South East London
Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025 or ASAP
Pay Rate: £90-£115 per day (depending on experience)
Remedy Education are currently seeking a committed and experienced Behaviour SEN Support Assistant to join a specialist school in Greenwich. This is a long-term, full-time position supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties (BESD), often linked to conditions such as ADHD, autism, trauma, or SEMH.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting young people with challenging behaviour, preferably within a school or alternative provision setting.
The Role:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 or small group basis who present challenging behaviour
- Implementing behaviour support strategies and personalised plans
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to provide consistent support
- De-escalating incidents and supporting pupils' emotional regulation
- Helping to create a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or related needs
- Resilient, calm and confident in managing behavioural incidents
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
- Relevant training such as Team Teach or MAPA (desirable but not essential)
