Reed Food & FMCG are partnering with a big name in the Food Industry as they look for a SHE Manager to join their business. This role is crucial as they continue their journey towards becoming a LEAN Enterprise, focusing on delivering perfect quality products while maximising efficiency. Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide specialist advice to line managers on managing Health, Safety, and Environment in the factory.
- Inspire stakeholders to excel in compliance and continuously improve by creating a compelling understanding of the SHE values.
- Identify SHE priorities, current and future challenges, and opportunities for change at the site level.
- Guide the implementation of the Environmental Management System and other Market SHE Standards.
- Develop and continuously improve site SHE programmes to ensure compliance and performance improvement.
- Maintain certification to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 for the local Safety, Health, and Environment management system.
- Provide training and coaching to managers and team leaders to help them take ownership, lead, and manage SHE within their area of responsibility.
- Ensure compliance is regularly audited and performance assessed, using results to drive further improvement.
- Engage with external stakeholders on SHE topics to build long-term, positive relationships.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- NEBOSH Health and Safety Diploma or equivalent - Essential.
- Degree level education (or equivalent) in a technical subject area - Preferred.
- Previous SHE experience within FMCG/Food Manufacturing - Preferred.
- Detailed knowledge of the requirements of ISO45001 and ISO14001.
- Experience leading internal audits and liaising with external regulatory bodies.
- Demonstrated passion for SHE and continuous improvement.
- Proven ability to influence behavioural change and support change through personal leadership.
