About My Client:

My client is a family-owned, leading manufacturer of cutting-edge LED lighting products. As they continue to grow and expand, they are seeking a passionate and driven sales professional to join their team. This exciting role will primarily focus on selling lighting products and covering the Scotland region, targeting electrical wholesalers and other clients tied into the electrical sector.

The Role:

Are you ready to take on a home-based role that combines managing, maintaining, and developing new and existing business within the electrical wholesale channel? As an Area Sales Manager, you will be a product ambassador with the desire and drive to nurture and develop relationships. You will oversee the P&L and performance of your region, with support of an internal Sales Support function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive ongoing business performance within the Scotland region.
  • Boost sales and revenue by engaging with key stakeholders.
  • Enhance the brand within the electrical wholesale channel.
  • Foster relationships with key target clients.
  • Collaborate with internal and external wholesaler teams to grow the business.
  • Monitor and manage contacts, opportunities, and relationships to meet monthly and annual targets.
  • Maintain and update the CRM.
  • Manage accounts and orders from enquiry to delivery.

Person Specification:

  • Experienced sales professional with a background or knowledge in electrical wholesale is required.
  • Experience of selling through the electrical wholesale channel is desirable.
  • You must be based in Scotland.
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines and manage timeframes effectively.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills at all levels.
  • Skilled in networking with decision-makers and influencers to identify customer needs.
  • Professionally presented, confident, and self-motivated.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Full driving licence essential.
