Teaching Assistant

Career Teachers are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team, working across a range of primary schools in Burton on Trent. This role involves supporting career teachers and working with children of different age groups, including those with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, particularly those with SEN.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support the planning and preparation of classroom activities.
  • Monitor and report on student progress.
  • Foster a safe and supportive classroom atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of SEN and strategies to support children with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across different schools and age groups.
  • A passion for education and helping children achieve their potential.
