Day-to-day of the role:
As a Junior Accounts Assistant, you will engage in a variety of accounting tasks crucial for the smooth operation of our finance department. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies.
- Preparing and processing payment runs, including processing high-value invoices.
- Supporting month-end close activities, such as managing accruals and prepayments.
- Conducting bank reconciliations and providing general ledger support.
- Handling invoice and expense processing along with other general finance administrative duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Ideal candidates will either be actively pursuing an AAT qualification or have approximately 6 months of experience in an accounts role.
- You must demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Excellent organisational skills are essential, as you will manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising the quality of your work.
