We are looking for a Student Experience Officer to join our team.

The Student Experience Officer (Liverpool) position at Kaplan Open Learning (KOL) sits within the Student Services department alongside our Student Support and Wellbeing, Disability Support and Study Skills teams. The central objective of the role is to enhance the student experience for those students studying a University of Essex Online programme throughout their entire learning journey in support of their progression, retention and student satisfaction. Particular consideration is given to developing a sense of belonging and community and working in partnership with students, ensuring that the student voice is heard and the feedback loop is closed.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated customer service expert, who is looking to expand their skills and build their career with an industry leader.

What you'll bring to the role

  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience of supporting students in a Higher Education setting, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate professionally, confidently, and effectively with a broad range of people from a wide variety of backgrounds with tact, and diplomacy.
  • A high standard of written and spoken English, with the ability to produce clear and concise written material, such as student-facing content and note taking in meetings.
  • Ability to effectively manage a busy workload to tight deadlines and respond to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently using initiative to prioritise and progress own workload, meeting deadlines and implementing improvements within own area of work.
  • Experience of student-focused project or event management.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, with a desire to embrace new technology.
