We are seeking a dedicated Keyworker to join our team at the Disability Resource Centre. The main purpose of this role is to support the delivery of our services, enabling clients to achieve and maintain independence within their chosen environment. This position requires a compassionate individual who is committed to the Social Model of Disability and understands the importance of professional integrity.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Act as a Keyworker for specific named clients, maintaining accurate and appropriate documentation as required.
  • Work closely with clients to support their individual needs and goals.
  • Attend reviews with statutory, voluntary, and private sector organisations as appropriate.
  • Comply with current Health & Safety regulations relevant to the role.
  • Organise and facilitate a variety of client-centred activities to assist clients in reaching their maximum potential.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, ensuring the correct use of manual handling techniques.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision sessions, and necessary training.
  • Uphold confidentiality and maintain professional integrity at all times.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the Disability Initiative team.
  • Engage in continuous professional development.
  • Perform any other duties as required by the General Manager or Occupational Therapist.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role within a disability support setting is preferred.
  • Understanding of both the Social and Medical Models of Disability.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undertake further training and professional development.
