Trainee Freight Forwarder Coordinator

This role would be for a Global Freight Forwarder who are based in Southampton
This company is looking to recruit an additional member to one of its team . The successful candidate will learn all aspects of the import and export shipping process., You will need to maintain and monitor shared mailbox emails to expedite jobs and quote requests. you will prepare customs clearance instructions when required for the shipping documents, cargo valuations checks, plus ocean bill of lading etc to ensure compliance for import requirements. The successful candidate will need to negotiate and gather rates from European road-hauliers, shipping lines and airline carriers to ensure competitive, accurate and timely pricing to all their customers and global agents. Plus other duties when required for this role
Essential Criteria:
- Some exposure to the Freight / Logistics industry
- Good customer service skills
- Can do & enthusiastic attitude
- Good IT Skills
- Analytical / Attention to detail

Salary & Benefits:
Our client is looking to pay between £20k - £25k for the right candidate, depending on experience.
