Role Overview
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teaching team to support students with diverse learning needs. You will provide one-on-one support, assist in small groups, and help maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Student Support:
- Provide individualised or small group support to aid in students' academic and social development.
- Encourage independence and resilience through structured activities and tailored guidance.
- Foster a nurturing environment that promotes students' confidence and well-being.
Classroom Assistance:
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons tailored to the specific needs of each student.
- Help maintain a well-organised, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and report on student progress, working closely with the teaching team.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Support students during transitions, breaks, and school outings.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Who We're Looking For

- Has experience working with children, preferably in an SEN setting.
- Is knowledgeable about safeguarding and child protection.
- Brings a patient, flexible, and nurturing approach to working with students with complex needs.
