Harmonic are delighted to be working with one of the most disruptive Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) start-ups in the UK in their search for a Finance Manager.

Their cutting-edge SaaS product has attracted investment from leading US and UK Venture Capital firms with a track record of early investments into some of the biggest Tech success stories of the last decade. Now on the verge of rapid expansion projecting to triple in revenue this year, they are looking for a Finance Manager to take them through their next phase of growth by developing the finance function alongside the Finance Director.

The business is led by a highly ambitious and bright senior leadership team with previous experience successfully scaling start-ups. Their working culture is centred around empowerment, ownership and accountability therefore you'll be trusted to work autonomously where needed with support from the wider Finance/Operations team.

Based out of their vibrant Central London office with the option for hybrid working you'll be joining a dynamic start-up environment surrounded by a team of smart and passionate people that are excited by the opportunity for growth both personally and professionally as they aim to build the next SaaS success story.

The Role:

Reporting to an excellent Finance Director, with a track record of helping to scale multiple start-ups and scale-ups, the Finance Manager will play a key role owning the daily finance operations for the business.

This is an incredibly broad and hands-on role, where you will ownership of accounting and finance whilst also having significant exposure to the wider business and Leadership Team. As expected in a start-up environment, the Finance Manager will also be integral in the design and implementation of processes and ensuring robust financial controls to deliver growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the accounting and financial operations function and work closely with our external accounting partners. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead month-end close and financial statement preparation process.
  • Supporting on the planning/forecasting and in developing financial models.
  • Build metrics dashboards and provide strategic insights to improve operational performance.
  • Business partnering with senior management to support strategic decision making.
  • Maintain strong internal controls to ensure financial data accuracy and integrity.
  • Use accounting software (Xero) and other financial systems to streamline processes.

What we need to see (essential):

  • Certified accountant (ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Business-savvy professional with experience in high-growth startup or scaleup environments.
  • Proactive individual with strong analytical and communication abilities, capable of simplifying complex data.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with expertise in data collection, organization, analysis, and dissemination, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Proficient in data visualization and report generation.

What we'd like to see (bonus):

  • Experience in a Tech/SaaS Start-Up or Scale-Up
  • US accounting experience

Salary: £70,000 - £85,000

Location: Central London with Hybrid model
