Robert Half is working with a Glasgow city centre real estate firm to recruit for a Credit Controller. This is a great role to be part of a large and growing global business. For the right candidate, this role offers:
Salary is up to £30k + bonus of up to £5k and hybrid working (2-3 days on site) + excellent benefits.
Duties:
- Proactively manage and collect debts using effective collection techniques.
- Ensure adherence to all credit control processes and develop them where necessary.
- Allocate workload efficiently across a portfolio of clients.
- Foster and develop relationships with key contacts throughout the business and with clients.
- Investigate, reconcile, and escalate queries through to resolution.
- Conduct regular meetings/conference calls with stakeholders to review client debt.
- Recommend appropriate bad debt write-offs.
- Support the Treasury team with monies allocation and account maintenance.
- Respond promptly to relevant client enquiries.
- Collaborate with the business to reduce the debt position.
- Maintain accurate records of all debt chasing activity.
- Manage and clear all queries in the relevant mailboxes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in credit control, particularly with complex debts.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of pivot tables and vlookups.
