School Caretaker

We are a vibrant and supportive school committed to providing a safe, welcoming environment for our students and staff. We are currently seeking a dedicated School Caretaker to join our team and help maintain our school's facilities to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the school premises are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Carry out regular inspections of the building and grounds, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Oversee the security of the premises, including locking and unlocking facilities as needed.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown for school events and activities.
  • Manage minor repairs and maintenance tasks, reporting larger issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including gardening and general upkeep of playgrounds and fields.
  • Support the school's health and safety policies and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role, preferably within a school environment.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to perform manual tasks and operate cleaning and maintenance equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintenance tasks.
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to contributing to a supportive school community.
