We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Class 2 Driver based in Luton for one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client are a national distributor and wholesaler servicing a mix of small independent and large companies.
Responsibilities of the Class 2 Driver
- Multidrop delivery.
- Clock in and out on a Kelio hand scanner.
- Conduct pre and post-delivery checks on vehicles, pallet trucks and tail lifts.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance including fluid top-ups and bulb replacements.
- Temperature checks of chilled vehicles.
- Check off goods with customers.
- Activate Tacho.
- Wash and clean the vehicle's interior after shift.
Requirements for a successful Class 2 Driver
- Class 2 driving licence.
- CPC qualified.
- Minimum 1-year multidrop experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Product and process knowledge.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills.
Summary of the Class 2 Driver role
Salary: £16.66 per hour
Location: Luton
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: 42 Hours a week with early starts and up to 15-hour days
