Network Engineer - Portsmouth - £38,000
Our client, an industry leading IT Consultancy, is looking for their next Network Engineer to join their team. Based in a state of the art office in the centre of Portsmouth, they provide expert support and consultancy to a whole host of high street brands.
The role
- Utilise internal ticketing systems to manage workloads.
- Act as a networking subject matter expert on projects both internal and external.
- Take part in networking changes, internal and external patching.
- Maintain and manage system notifications and alerts, pinpointing opportunities across all of their monitoring platforms.
- Provide support both internally to colleagues and externally to customers.
- Introduce accurate documentation in line with company processes.
Experience Required
- At least 4 years IT Infrastructure support experience (Ideally in an MSP)
- Knowledge of routing and switching protocols
- Experience with either Juniper SRX, Fortigate or Cisco ASA firewalls.
- Any of Wireshark, PRTG or Solarwinds.
Desired
- CCNA or JNCIA-Junos Certification
- Data Centre experience
- Azure Cloud
- Virtualisation experience (Ideally VMware)
