Roofing Estimator
Location: Broxted, Essex
Salary: £35k - £60k + Excellent Benefits

The Client:
Our client is a well-established construction firm, specialises in roofing, cladding, and metal fabrication.
The Role:
As Roofing Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining cost control and ensuring project profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Examine project plans, specifications, and drawings to comprehend project requirements.
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs and develop precise cost estimates.
- Discover potential cost-saving measures and value engineering options.
- Prepare and submit thorough bid proposals promptly.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to collect necessary estimating information.
- Keep a database of historical cost data for future use.
- Track project costs during the construction process and regularly report to management.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed.
Requirements:
- Previously worked as an Estimator or in a similar role in construction industry.
- Experience in Facades, cladding, metal and flat roofing.
- Understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
- Skilled in using estimating software and tools.
- Ideally have 1 year of surveying experience.
- GCSE or equivalent qualification would be preferred.
- Capable of evaluating project costs and devising strategies to manage and reduce expenses.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Must live near to the job location.
