This hybrid role is based in Central London and we are looking for at least 1 year as an Assistant Management accountant looking to step up and you must have experience working for a retail brand, a newly qualified or PQ Accountant and studying for CIMA/ACCA.
This role will be to:
- Support the November hard close and year end close.
- Provide documents and deal with queries arising from the year-end audit.
- Perform Corporate Tax reporting to Group and detailed analysis for the corporate tax pack.
- Support with the preparation of the statutory accounts.
- Support with the preparation of the VAT return.
Day to Day responsibilities
- Support the preparation of timely, complete, and accurate monthly management accounts.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and journal postings for stock movements.
- Reconcile Net Invoicing monthly, including adjustments made for discounts, returns and markdowns, including journals.
- Perform additional monthly reconciliations such as Sales daybook, Sales ledger to TB, Treatment revenue, Cost of Goods, etc.
- Prepare monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly reports and reconciliations required to maintain intercompany accounts with Factofinance,
- Review and post journals for financial controller and other finance department staff in order to maintain segregation of duties required by internal audit.
- Report to Group using HFM, the Group software.
- Prepare Plastic Packaging Tax for HMRC submission.
- Prepare Office for National Statistics enquiries.
