The Role:
- Strategically lead the curriculum development and teaching of Geography.
- Collaborate with the Geography department and subject specialists to ensure the quality of teaching and learning.
- Facilitate and lead learning experiences outside of the classroom.
- Ensure high standards of pupil attainment and achievement across the curriculum.
- Monitor and support pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and is an experienced, highly competent teacher.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for teaching Geography and inspiring students.
- Possesses leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop the Geography department.
- Shows excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to professional growth.
- Demonstrates a clear understanding of how children learn, with experience in assessment for learning and effective behaviour management.
- Possesses or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS plus Children's Barred List Check.
