Learning and Development Manager

In this dynamic role reporting to the Head of Learning and Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the business. As our Training and Development Specialist, you will design and implement comprehensive training programs that empower teams to excel in their roles.

The role is offered with remote working however you will be travelling 50% of the week to any location in the UK, travel and hotel stays (when required) can be expensed.

Key Responsibilities or the Training and Development Manager

  • Create engaging and effective training materials for their commercial and functional teams, ensuring alignment with best practices and individual learning preferences.
  • Oversee the approval of training materials, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Drive a seamless onboarding experience for new hires
  • Provide guidance on designing training for key business processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with BU and Functional Heads to conduct Training Needs Analysis and shape the annual Training Plan.
  • Deliver diverse learning interventions, from workshops and webinars to self-directed learning, fostering continuous growth and development.
  • Champion a unified selling approach across Business Units, delivering training to embed our sales strategies.
  • Implement a coaching model that empowers teams for on-the-job development.

Qualifications and Experience of the Training and Development Manager

  • Relevant training or certification in a related field.
  • Extensive experience in training design and delivery, ideally within the pharmaceutical or medical devices sector.
  • A strong grasp of commercial dynamics, preferably with field sales experience.
  • Proficiency in coaching techniques and experience in field development.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, adept at engaging participants and achieving learning goals.
  • Ability to comprehend scientific and clinical aspects of product portfolios.
  • Exceptional planning and organisational abilities, with both strategic and executional proficiency.
  • Collaborative team player with a knack for building strong relationships.
  • Demonstrated cross-functional collaboration and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Initiative-driven, capable of working autonomously while knowing when to seek guidance.
  • Willingness to travel
