Are you passionate about lean manufacturing and looking for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic environment? We are seeking a dedicated Lean Manufacturing Assessor to join our team based in the stunning county of Cumbria.

About the Role

As a Lean Manufacturing Assessor, you will work closely with some of the largest manufacturers in the UK. You will be involved in delivering apprenticeships in lean manufacturing through a blended learning approach, combining online materials, virtual learning, and hands-on training at apprenticeship sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Blended Learning: Create engaging online materials, conduct one-on-one sessions with students, and visit apprenticeship sites to observe and provide feedback.
  • Support Key Manufacturers: Work with local manufacturers in areas such as conveyor belts, robotics, biscuits manufacturing, and scone packaging.
  • Assess and Mentor: Guide and support apprentices in achieving their qualifications, providing practical advice, feedback, and motivation to enhance their skills.
  • Adapt to the Region: As Cumbria is the largest rural county in the UK, a car and driving license are essential.

Candidate Profile

We welcome applications from candidates at various levels:

  • Gold Candidates: Prior assessing experience, trainer/assessor qualifications.
  • Silver Candidates: Experience as a manager in a manufacturing factory.
  • Bronze Candidates: Experience working in a factory, familiarity with white, green, and black belts, and lean sigma methodologies.
  • Open to Unqualified Candidates: We are willing to train and support candidates without teaching sector qualifications, offering the opportunity to gain assessing awards.
