Global Payroll Lead

Are you an experienced Payroll professional with a strong background in managing global payroll operations? We are looking for a dedicated Global Payroll Lead to ensure the smooth and accurate delivery of payroll services across this global business, including the expatriate employees.

About the Role:
As the Global Payroll Lead, you will be responsible for the delivery of an accurate and reliable payroll service for all employees across our global business. This includes managing relationships with external payroll providers, optimising payroll processes, and ensuring compliance with international regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the global payroll function, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees, including expatriates.
  • Manage and collaborate with external payroll providers to meet SLAs and KPIs.
  • Coach and support the payroll team to handle all aspects of the employee life cycle and manage workloads during peak periods.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements in payroll and HR data processes, including increased automation.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex payroll issues, ensuring satisfactory resolution.
  • Provide insights and performance data on compliance processes and payroll operations.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee and HR records in compliance with Data Protection legislation and company policies.

About You:

  • Extensive experience in payroll operations within a multinational organisation, handling international payrolls.
  • Strong supervisory experience with a focus on driving performance and coaching for high performance.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in major markets such as the US, UK, EMEA.
  • Proficient in HRMS, payroll software, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage relationships at all levels.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Experience in delivering payroll services in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and SOX controls.
  • Experience in a hybrid shared service model and integrating modern automation technologies is desirable.
